Google, Pop Trivia and Responsible Dog Ownership
I’ve been driving myself insane for a few days. I haven’t been able to get a song lyric out of my head. Lying in bed at night listening to my brain singing (wailing?) “I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the waaaaay” - time after time. What maddened me is that I couldn’t remember anything else about the song.
Finally, after remembering that this is the 21st Century, one Google search put me out of my misery. “The Greatest Love of All”, George Benson, 1977, recorded for the Muhammad Ali film “The Greatest”. Whitney Houston, 1986, #1 in Australia and USA, #8 in the UK, a lowly #21 in Germany. Peace at last.
This chain of events was started by the release of our new educational video for kids. It’s called A Dog’s Life and whether you have kids or not, it’s definitely worth a look as it gives a great insight into how one of our rehoming centres is run.
Follow this link to take a look (it lasts 9 minutes).
The star of the video is the outrageously talented TV presenter, Sarah Jane Honeywell - a great dog lover who generously donated her services for free. Huge thanks to Sarah Jane.
I hope you enjoy the video. And my apologies to your friends and colleagues if you end up doing Whitney impersonations for the rest of the day.
